Beckey Durfee – President

Having had on and off employment with our company since 1981, we were thrilled when Beckey permanently returned to JPCI Services in 2001 to help with the tremendous growth we were taking on at the time. She was able to streamline our payroll and billing department along with other areas of our internal management. Having a background in Architecture and Industrial Arts, her high level of detail orientation and gift for computer programming lead her to take on more work drafting proposals, estimating projects, advanced data entry, and eventually became a full time Job Controller. She now resides as our acting President.

The success of our reputation within the industry has largely come in part to Beckey’s exceptional ability to negotiate contracts with the different customers and cities we service. Over the years, we have relied on her to facilitate all our insurance needs and bonding negotiations. Beckey regularly attends job meetings and oversees company moral.

Joann DeSa – Chief Financial Officer

Joann holds a BS in Accountancy from Arizona State University. Her experience having worked with other construction companies, development, and property management gave her the upper hand as a valuable resource for overseeing daily operations here at JPCI Services. In 2001 she joined our staff full time as our in house Accountant and eventually worked her way up to Controller. She currently resides as our Chief Financial Officer. Joann’s deep understanding of processes from the side of both owners and general contractors allowed us to expanded our daily operations, reduce costs, and successfully manage all of our financial and tax liabilities. Often appearing at the job sites, she has overseen our compliance with the Department of Labor, OSHA, the Department of Transportation, the EPA, and countless other regulated entities as needed.

Larry V. Nuciforo – Chief Operating Officer of Above Ground Operations

As an employee of JPCI Services since 1983, Larry worked his way up from Field Laborer to Superintendent, then Coatings Engineer, and now resides as the COO and Lead Estimator of our coatings division. His experience began with residential painting and quickly turned to commercial applications once we were able to harness his unique skill and fine attention to detail. The innovation his talent has provided allowed our company to secure more industrial and eventually municipal contracts. He is qualified to bid, schedule, plan, and execute critical infrastructure rehabilitation projects at water and wastewater treatment plants. He also designed and constructed the advanced plural component spray system technology we use today.

We can honestly say that the success of our inspection services were spearheaded by Larry when he advanced the processes we use on both submerged and non-submerged structures including tanks, steel, concrete, pipeline, and chemical containment. As a NACE certified inspector, he has performed detailed inspections for the Cities of Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Scottsdale, The State of Arizona, GHD Engineering, PEC, the State of Nevada, the City of Los Angeles, and countless other projects. He is also considered a Senior Trainer on all Environmental Coatings product lines including Sewer Shield Composites.

Joseph Nuciforo Jr. – Chief Operating Officer of Below Ground Operations

Joseph A. Nuciforo Jr. has been an employee of JPCI Services since 1986. He has worked his way up from Job Preparation Laborer to Superintendent, Wastewater Coatings Consultant, and now resides as the COO of our wastewater division. Joe quickly became able to recognize why typical coatings were failing in the industry, especially when it came to wastewater collection systems. His skill allowed us to grow our sewer rehabilitation services and Environmental Coatings product line. Joe has an imaginative and resourceful way to resolve complications that have been encountered on sewer lines and structures he has been project lead on.

Joe Nuciforo Jr.’s experience and ingenuity have moved him into the position of supervising all our SROG work in the Phoenix area and he has been a board member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) for over a decade. He manages wastewater treatment rehabilitation for much of southern Arizona. Joe successfully pioneered and maintains the application training programs for the Environmental Coatings product line including Sewer Shield Composites.

Joseph A. Nuciforo Sr. and Lois Susanne Nuciforo – Founders, CEOs, and Consultants

Joe and Sue Nuciforo founded Joseph Painting Company Inc. in 1972 as a residential and commercial painting company in California, which included work on hospitals, schools, and IHS Projects. A few years later, they moved their family and operations to Arizona in 1979 and expanded into the industrial and municipal coating markets. They immediately recognized there was a high need for quality coatings in the Greater Phoenix Valley that could be applied in its extremely hot and dry climate. They were able to observe that Arizona’s typical industry coating failures stemmed from poor preparation practices and made it the focus and foundation of their quality driven techniques, which led to the success and longevity of their excellent work.

Joe and Sue’s executive leadership and commitment to integrity have helped them develop and maintain the outstanding reputation JPCI Services has as an industry leader. They later went on to develop the successful product lines for Environmental Coatings LLC and Sewer Shield Composites LLC. Today they remain active as consultants to family, employees, many cities, and engineers.
